Eliseo Banito has faithfully served the Lord in the Province of Ilocos Sur in Northern Philippines. He started building a church building more than ten years ago, and continued the work each time he received a little money. When I met him, he had several concrete columns but no building. He came to the U.S. a couple years ago and they now have a partially finished first floor where they are currently meeting. He also has an active Blind Ministry and a Deaf Ministry. Please pray for this pastor and church as they go forward by faith to win souls and glorify the Lord.

Jenesis Santiago, his wife Renzy, and their daughter Phoebe are very dear to us. Jenesis’ mother, Mela, was saved during our ministry in the Philippines, in 1976. Jenesis, Renzy, and Phoebe lovingly greet my wife and me as Grandma and Grandpa. Their ministry in Candon, Ilocos Sur, is being greatly blessed of God. They recently purchased their own building lot and look forward to the day when they can build their own church building.

Marvy Gorio and his wife Angie started out as workers with Jenesis and Renzy Santiago. They have now started a mission work out of New Hope Baptist Church. On our last trip to the Philippines in November, 2016, the Lord touched the heart of one of our team to purchase a building lot for this mission work. This lot is now purchased and paid for … praise the Lord!  It was their plan to begin construction next year as the Lord provided funds. I received a message from Pastor Marvy, however, in late April, 2016, that the owner of his rental building wants to start a business there so he has to find a place to meet and live as soon as possible. They can build a temporary bamboo building for about $1,500. Please pray for them concerning this urgent need.

Benson Olipas and his wife Minerva are being greatly used of the Lord. He planted Badoc Bible Baptist Church sixteen years ago and they have seen thousands of souls saved. They recently had more than four hundred in attendance on Anniversary Sunday. They also started Heartbeat Bible Baptist Institute where they are training young people for the ministry. Pastor Benson visited the United States in 2015, and the Lord has miraculously provided for them to build a facility for the Bible College less than a mile from their church building. This College will offer a tremendous opportunity to train young people all over the Northern area of the Island of Luzon.
